|Folklore is part of the culture and history owned by the Indonesian nation. Children's interest in Indonesian folklore containing moral messages has diminished as children prefer foreign stories broadcasted in digital form. So folklore cannot compete with foreign stories and ultimately can be extinct and cannot be known by future generations. Animation is used to increase the children's interest in folklore because it can introduce and redevelop folklore to children. The animated video basically contains fantasy stories. Therefore, children really love the animated video because they can fantasize with unique and funny pictures. Based on this problem, the author did research to introduce and redevelop the folklore to children with an animated video. Data collection methods used were observation, literature study, questionnaire and documentation. The author used three-stage multimedia development method namely pre production, production, and post production. The research created 2 dimensional animated video of Rawa Pasung folklore as a medium for introducing and redeveloping folklore that has been seen and displayed to the children.|
