Game Save Si Otan Berbasis Finite State Machine

Lack of awareness of orangutan conservation makes the orangutans in the category terancanm extinction. Quoted from sains.kompas.com research results from tnc (the nature concevancy) with 17 lsm in 2008 to 2009 interviewed 6972 citizens kalimantan, revealing that the biggest percentage of the reason orangutan hunted that is to be eaten with the background of orangutans taste delicious. This fact proves that people are less aware of the vulnerability of the orangutan population. As one form of maintaining, preserving and introducing the animal, the need for media delivery one of which can be a game. Quoted from tekno.kompas.com, the game is a media with special characteristics so that information will be delivered packaged in such a way as to convey effectively. One model of artificial intelligence is the finite state machine. This FSM is utilized to design the in-game game path. In addition to the control system, the advantages of FSM are easy to implement. The system development method used is the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) methodology which consists of Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing and Distribution. The results of this study is a game that contains educational elements that are about orangutans by utilizing finite state machine on the design.
