The development of video advertising in indonesia is increasing, both in quality and quantity. If of the aspect of quality, then the increase as an increase in technology development and techniques used in making a film advanced and loosening the performance of the filmmaker to be more creative. The application of visual effect based the CGI ( Computer Generated Imagery ) be a solution for the film maker to make video advertising in the real world there was no, or a great cost needed to make it. In this research, will would be emphasized on the use of based effect visual CGI ( Computer Generated Imagery ) used in video advertising “STMIK AMIKOM Purwokerto”.
In its manufacture the use writers a method of waterfall according to M. Suyanto, a method of observation, a method of interview. To develop the system in this research using methods M. Suyanto with the development of a multimedia system is based on four stages, namely: development, Pre-prosperous production, the stage production, post production.
This research result in the form of the application of video advertising as media promotion STMIK AMIKOM Purwokerto. An application that produced with ekstension .avi and may be run, use vcd or dvd Computer, in post on youtube that can later be in see by any one who paves on youtube.
